5 Things to do This Weekend in the Lehigh Valley (April 12th - 14th)

By Rebecca Seidenberger, Macaroni KID Allentown and Bethlehem April 11, 2024

1- Goat Snuggling

This one!!!!!! I feel like the title says enough. A short drive to Kempton (Just north of Kutztown) will lead you to a farm full of goats, ready for snuggling! I can't imagine a better way to spend your Sunday. (Sunday, April 14th)

2- Annual Youth Fishing Derby

This Saturday, head to Covered Bridge Park in Allentown for a FREE Fishing Derby for children under the age of 15. A section of the Jordan Creek in Covered Bridge Park near Pavilion #2 will be stocked and closed to the public for the event. In addition, breakfast concessions will be sold and Delicious Dogs Food Truck will be there! (Saturday, April 13th)

3- Flip Circus at Plymouth Meeting Mall

This event was on my top 5 last week. Now that I've gotten to see it in person, I knew that I had to put it back on the list! All I can say is "WOW!" From the live music to the hysterical clown to the absolutely amazing dancers and acrobats, this show had my entire family on the edge of our seats the entire time. Here's the best part... CertifiKID has discount tickets! So take a little road trip down 476 and check out this fun event! (Discount tickets for weekdays only, including Friday the 12th)

4- Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs

Baseball season is here and The Iron Pigs are home all weekend! If you haven't been to a game, tickets are relatively inexpensive and very kid-friendly. Fun themes this weekend include 80's Night, fireworks, and Kids Run the Bases! (Friday - Sunday, April 12th - 14th)

5- Lehigh Valley Comic Convention

This Saturday, head to the Allentown Fairgrounds for the Lehigh Valley Comic Convention. Crayola will be on site hosting a coloring and craft station for kids and families. (Saturday, April 13th)
